I'm extremely excited to release this debut solo ep by Brendan S. (of Perfect Future and Unfair Roots and ex-member of Houston We Have a Problem and Soulmobile Eternal). This ep came out of nowhere. The songs were written in order to be able to play a show with The Saddest Landscape that his band couldn't play, and he never intended on recording these songs. But after messing around with some recording gear, he realized that the songs had more potential than he thought.
So here it is: five miserable folk-influenced emo songs about his sister getting in a near fatal car wreck while Brendan S. was on tour. Even worse, the drunk driver that hit his sister, Kimberly, was the wife of a state trooper and so the woman faced no repercussions for her actions. Then after that the doctors set Kimberly's morphine drip to the point where Kim overdosed and once again almost died. But what these songs are primarily about is Brendan's helpless to a situation back home, choosing to continue on the tour instead of going home, and being unable to forgive himself for that decision.
Every note of this EP was played, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Brendan. As of right now, this is a digital only release. By all means download this record for free and share it on blogs for free.
